Project Manager
We are looking for the immediate hire of one or more Project Managers to work from our office in Lake Forest, California
This position requires previous experience working in a structural or industrial engineering environment.
The position requires quick thinking and common sense and the ability to switch gears while working on multiple complex projects.
We are a high volume, small office and each team member performs a variety of duties as needed. Included in this position would be:
- Review requests for quotation via phone or email inquiry
- Estimating/Quotations – review project data and specifications to make sure they are complete and fit into our scope. Prepare fast and accurate estimation/quotation for client.
- Project management
- following the job from initial purchase order
- obtaining drawing approval from the customer
- supervision of fabrication and installation
- tracking milestones for billing and close out
- Visiting vendors and customers domestically and overseas
- Visit the job sites to meets with owners and GC’s, perform job walks etc.
- Arrange for shipments of products to customers. Make sure all shipments are complete and paperwork is accurate.
- Supervise job sites
- Other duties as assigned or needed.
- Auto CAD experience a plus.

Office Assistant/Assistant Project Manager
UIG is searching for the immediate hire of an Office Assistant with experience in the construction or engineering fields a plus. This position will be located in our corporate office in Lake Forest, California, with occasional travel possible.
This position will require the employee to do a variety of daily tasks as well as special projects. Some of these projects may require travel to jobsites, vendor locations, corporate offices, government offices etc. Some international travel may be required as well.
Some of the job duties will include:
Front desk position - assistant will greet incoming clients and others on a daily basis.
Screening incoming calls and email inquiries. This position will be the first person with whom our customers speak. Customer services is very important to us, so common sense, attention to detail, great demeanor and an even temperament is necessary for this important part of the job.
Assistant would be answering all incoming phone calls, getting preliminary customer information regarding the job and passing the information on to the proper estimation department, project manager or other.
Candidate may be called on to assist in the warehouse or other projects off site. Some heavy lifting may be required, such as water bottles, boxes of bolts etc. – up to 50 lbs. Use of hand tools may also be required.
Assistant would also work in conjunction with Project Managers and Management staff, composing correspondence, redacting documents, preparing materials for quotations, obtaining project information, internet research and other functions as needed. Candidate may also work on projects independently under the supervision of the project manager and be available to assist other staff members as needed. Ideal candidate will learn all aspects of the organization quickly and move into a project manager or estimating position in the company.
Candidate must communicate positively and accurately when consulting with customers and vendors, either by phone or by email, obtaining the information to allow the estimation department to determine project requirements.
Requirements
• Prior experience in an construction or engineering environment a plus. Be open to change and possess a willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges as needed.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent attitude and positive personality needed. As this is a front office setting, must be punctual and reliable.
• Must be able to follow directions and follow-through with tasks.
• Excellent grammar, spelling and composition are a must.
• Able to use the Internet for complex research and data retrieval.
Experienced Bolted Tank and Geodesic Dome Installer
Installer will lead team in installing Epoxy Coated and Glass Lined Bolted Tanks and Geodesic Domes throughout the US and possibly overseas. Please send resume with list of recent installations for immediate consideration. Length of job(s) will be determined by project duration.
Assistant Operations Manager
Assistant Operations Manager will be required to manage daily work flow and operations, both on-site and in remote job locations.
Oversee the administrative operations and provide guidance and back-up assistance to project managers as needed.
This will require communicating positively, accurately and concisely with customers and suppliers, representing our organization exchanging information in person, in writing, e-mail or by phone.
Work with engineering department to oversee activities related to fabricating storage tanks and products.
Must be able to understand structural engineering drawings and project specifications.
Must have a proven track record of leadership.
Will be required to monitor and evaluate market conditions, trends and competitor data and suggest changes to move the company forward.
This person will work directly for the President and have a “can do”, “whatever it takes” attitude with an ability to get the job done.
Required Competencies
Experience with Bolted or Welded tank design and fabrication a plus. Must have experience in the Structural or Mechanical Engineering field.
Effectively receives, interprets, and disseminates technical information verbally and in writing in a manner that is clear and precise and able to be acted upon.
Experienced planner and organizer, capable of completing multiple tasks and meeting established objectives and deadlines
Some national and international travel required.

STRUCURAL ENGINEER
Design Engineer (P.E. is a plus) to work for an industrial storage tank company specializing in break bulk (aggregates, polyester, powder, grain, etc…) as well as liquid (Fuel, water, wastewater, biofuels, etc..)
Design Experience: Dry bulk material handling, Storage Tanks & Silos.
Engineering design to include: foundation design, structural steel, modifications of existing tanks, design review, and new tank design, both bolted and welded.
You must be able to work swiftly and complete all tasks on a timely basis.
You will need to stay abreast of any changing codes or standards.
