UIG TITANIUM RICH STEEL FOR BOLTED STORAGE TANKS
Make no mistake about the difference between UIG Premium Titanium Steel and the competitor’s Titanium Dioxide Coating
SEE THE DIFFERENCE

Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) is a powder, a white pigment found in many products ranging from paint to food, to cosmetics, to chewing gum.

Titanium Alloy or Titanium Rich Carbon Steel Plates are long-lasting and corrosion resistant to leachate, extreme pH, chlorine and other harsh chemicals.

Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) powdered pigment produces an aesthetically pleasing, bright, and shiny white finish, which has no real protection against corrosion.

Titanium Rich Carbon Steel provides exceptional adhesion and bonding during the porcelain enameling process, allowing for maximum corrosion protection.
For potable water applications, in addition to Titanium Rich Hot Rolled Carbon Steel, UIG also utilizes an interior Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) white coating.
For all other applications, we recommend the interior to be Cobalt Blue, as it is the most corrosion-resistant enamel coating due to the Cobalt additions, which is far superior to the pigment, Titanium Dioxide.
Cobalt is a well known and proved element (Co) with its anti-corrosive properties. To learn more visit http://www.totalmateria.com/Article54.htm
