Make no mistake about the difference between
UIG Premium Titanium Steel and the competitor’s Titanium Dioxide coating
SEE THE DIFFERENCE
Titanium Dioxide TiO2 is a powder, it is a white pigment found in many products ranging from paint to food to cosmetics and chewing gum.
Titanium Alloy or Titanium Rich Carbon Steel Plates are corrosion resistant to leachate, extreme pH, chlorine and harsh chemicals. Long lasting.
Titanium dioxide TiO2 powder, white pigment produces an aesthetically pleasing, bright and shiny white finish with no real protection against corrosion.
Titanium Rich Carbon Steel provides exceptional adhesion and bonding during the porcelain enameling process allowing for maximum corrosion protection
In addition to Titanium Rich Hot Rolled Carbon Steel for potable water application UIG utilizes an interior Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) White coating. For all other applications we recommend interior to be Cobalt Blue as it’s the most corrosion resistant enamel coating system due to Cobalt additions which is by far superior than Titanium Dioxide as TiO2 is simply a pigment.
Cobalt is a well known and proven elements (Co) with it’s anti-corrosive properties learn more here: http://www.totalmateria.com/Article54.htm
