Position Summary:

UIG Tanks is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our projects, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a key leadership role that requires exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.


  • Plan, organize, and manage the overall operations of the company, including project execution, resource allocation, and budget control.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines throughout all projects.
  • Manage and supervise project teams, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Identify training and development needs for the team and coordinate appropriate training programs.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement within the organization.


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management within the construction industry, preferably with experience in water storage tank projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick, sound decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, and standards related to water storage tanks is preferred.

As a Project Manager/Estimator at UIG Tanks, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of projects from conception to completion. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Project Management:
  • Effectively plan, organize, and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project goals are achieved within budget and schedule.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout project execution.
  1. Estimation:
  • Conduct detailed cost estimations and prepare accurate project bids based on client requirements and specifications.
  • Analyze project scope, materials, labor, and equipment requirements to determine project costs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain competitive pricing and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  1. Client Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate project progress, address client concerns, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to support business development efforts and identify new project opportunities.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, a plus
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager/Estimator in the construction industry, preferably in water storage or similar field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, project management principles, and estimation techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and ability to promote a culture of safety on project sites.

Job Purpose:

To construct bolted tanks for water storage for commercial and industrial applications while managing field crew.

Guide the field crew to:

  • Position, align and adjust panels for proper fit and assembly
  • Fasten parts together using impact wrenches and other hand tools
  • Use of jacking or scaffolding to build tanks.
  • Use of small cranes and rigging to move larger parts as required.
  • Assist in hydrotest inspection activities.


  • Have valid US drivers license
  • Have or complete OSHA 10 training
  • Have or complete confined space training
  • Have or complete CPR training
  • Have or complete forklift training
  • Be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Be available to travel for extended periods.

Working Environment

  • Will need to work outside at varying altitudes and weather conditions.
  • 80% Walking, Lifting, Bending,
  • 20% Sitting, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching.

Salary: Commensurate with Experience
